Operations & Business Management

For the coach or course creator who's outgrown doing it all herself

Every decision, every launch detail, every “wait, did we send that email” stillcomes back to you, and I take that weight off so you can get back to being the expert yourclients actually hired, not the person holding every piece together behind the scenes.

Tell me what the bottleneck is →

You might recognise yourself here

You’ve built something real, the offer works, people are buying it, and on paper the businesslooks like a success story. But you’re still the one who remembers which email goes outwhen, still the one who notices three days before launch that nobody’s actually confirmedthe automation fires, and your team keeps asking you questions they should be able toanswer on their own. Somewhere in the last year, “growing the business” quietly turned into”being needed for absolutely everything in it.”

That’s not something one more Notion template fixes. It’s a capacity problem, and it usuallymeans you’ve outgrown doing this by yourself.

This page is mainly for coaches and course creators at that scaling stage, with anestablished offer, a growing team, and launches that have gotten bigger than one personcan hold in her head. It also fits health and wellness practitioners moving from one-to-onework into group programs or memberships, where the operational load jumps fast andnobody warns you it’s coming.

What an OBM does actually does

(For you, specifically)

7

Systems Audit

I look at how things really run right now, not how the org chart says they run, and find where the gaps are before they cost you a launch. That includes keeping your SOPs current and actually usable, not written once and left to go stale in a folder somewhere.

7

Team Coordination

Your contractors and team members get clear direction and one point of contact, instead of five people independently pinging you to ask what’s next. And if someone’s work needs a second check before it reaches a customer or a client, for tone, accuracy, or just whether it sounds like your business, that check happens before it goes out, not after someone complains.

7

Launch Timelines & Sequencing

Every task, every dependency, every “this has to happen before that can happen,” is mapped out and tracked, whether it’s a digital launch or the run-up to a face-to-face event, so launch week is execution instead of triage.

The Technical Connective Issue

Because I also work inside Kajabi and know the automation and integration side of things, I can sit across strategy and execution at the same time, so you’re not handed off to someone else the moment a launch needs a tech fix.

I’m not going to tell you I’ll “be your right hand” and leave it there. That’s the job description above, in practice, week to week.

For the Right Client, It Goes Further

Some clients stay at the operations level the whole time we work together, and that’sgenuinely all the job needs to be. But with a few long-term clients, things have gone further than that — the work stops being just about keeping the business running day-to-day and turns into helping figure out how the business is actually positioned and how that positioning holds up in search.

I don’t lead with this. It’s grown out of relationships that started as tech or ops support and turned into something bigger over time — I’ve done this kind of positioning and SEO structure work for a spiritual coach, a business coach, and a health coach, and in one caseI’m currently helping set up the SEO foundation for a product one client is growing into itsown business alongside the one they already run.

It’s not something you book on day one. If it’s where things end up going with you, we’ll get there.

Why This Is My Actual Background, Not a Metaphor

Before I was an OBM, I was a teacher, and before that, an event manager. Both jobs are, underneath everything else, logistics under pressure — a hundred moving parts, a hard deadline, and no room to drop one of them without someone noticing.

These days the moving parts are a launch calendar and five kids instead of a curriculum and a wedding day, but the skill that matters hasn’t changed. I keep track of what everyone else can’t hold in their head at the same time, and I follow through on it without needing to be chased.

If I don’t know the answer to something, I don’t pretend I do. I say I’ll find out, and then I do.

For three or four years, I was contracted as the OBM for a US-based marketing agency, running day-to-day operations for a team based in the Philippines. I worked US hours to match them, which meant my working day rarely lined up with my own timezone. Every team member’s tasks and deadlines came through me. I checked their work myself before it ever went in front of a client, and when someone was on leave or left the team altogether, I didn’t leave the gap for the client to find — I did the work myself until it was covered again. The CEO and the clients dealt with me directly, and every request got a timeline and actually got actioned, not just acknowledged and left to sit.

Right now, I’m the OBM for an Australian business that teaches a specific card game, remote and day-to-day, with the added layer of face-to-face live events on top of the usual digital operations. I keep the SOPs current so nothing lives only in someone’s head, and I make sure the run-up to those live events is actually ready, not just assumed to be, which is where the event management background still earns its keep. I check the work of the other team member, a VA based in the Philippines, so what reaches customers is accurate and reads the way the business actually sounds, not just correctly spelled. Projects get actioned the way the owner asked for them, and I’m on hand for whatever the business needs next, not just the tasks that were scoped at the start.

That’s the standard I bring to every client. Nothing reaches your team, your customers, or your clients without someone checking it first.

What Clients Say

“Before working with Tika, my business felt like a road trip where I kept ending up lost in a city I didn’t know, plenty of ideas, no time to execute them. I’ve more than 10x’d my productivity since.”

— Kristi D.

“She took initiative, showing me solutions to problems I didn’t yet know I had and executed tasks and assigned work quickly, managing multiple details and too many moving parts!”

— Barb M., Above The Fold

Tika is highly communicative, responsive, and focused, and yet somehow laid back and calming to work with! She is the sort of long-term trusted partner that we all need.”

— Zubin, MatchFit Mastery

Still the bottleneck? Let's fix that

Tell me what’s actually piling up, the launch, the team, the hundred small decisions nobody else can make, and I’ll tell you honestly whether an OBM is what you need right now, or whether you’re better served starting smaller.
